
KATIE BISHOP
Co-President
Katie is a senior at Penn studying biochemistry. When Katie first joined SLP, she wanted to continue her love for tutoring, but has stayed due to the impact she has seen firsthand from working with students of all backgrounds in Philadelphia. Outside of SLP, Katie loves to bake, go thrift shopping, and find new places to try boba!

KEVIN SONG
Co-President
Kevin is a senior at Penn studying biology. Kevin learned about the dire need of accessible education during service trips to countries like Peru. He joined SLP after learning about the widespread education inequity present in his own local communities. Outside of SLP, Kevin loves photography, playing tennis, and making the best matcha in town.

Andrea is a sophomore studying Bioengineeing at Penn. Having been a part of SLP last year, Andrea is passionate about SLP’s mission and is so inspired by the students that SLP works with. In her free time, Andrea loves playing volleyball, buying interesting perfumes, and searching for her next favorite food truck.

Claire is a sophomore at Penn planning to major in Health and Societies and concentrating in health policy and law. Claire is interesting in the intersection between health care systems and design. She joined SLP because she wanted to help underserved students break social barriers and encourage them to find their own passions. In her free time, Claire enjoys listening to BTS and kdramas.

RACHEL YOCOM
Recruitment Chair and Class of 2026 Representative
Rachel is a sophomore at Penn studying nursing. She is passionate about SLP because it improves access to education for underprivileged youth and she particularly enjoys tutoring math and science. In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, going for walks, and spending time with her friends.

AKSHATHA MANJUNATH
Class of 2025 Representative
Akshatha is a sophomore at Penn studying biochemistry. She joined SLP in her freshman year as a way to connect her passion for tutoring with her desire become get involved with local Philadelphia community. She has really enjoyed working with these students and is excited to be with SLP for another year! Outside of SLP, Akshatha enjoys baking, feeding her tea addiction, and watching cat videos.

SRIKAR MUPPIDI
Class of 2024 Representative
Srikar is a sophomore at Penn studying neuroscience and health care management. He joined SLP to use education as a tool to uplift Philadelphia children experiencing homelessness and help them break the cycle of poverty. In his free time, Srikar enjoys spending time outdoors and playing the viola.
