A Leading Online Tutoring Program
The Satellite Learning Program @ Penn is a student-led program that was founded in December of 2020. We decided to create this program to help children that had their learning disrupted by the pandemic through providing some additional help specialized to best meet their needs. We have since expanded to create and include two programs that provide remote tutoring for students experiencing homelessness in San Bernardino County and The School District of Philadelphia. Mentors in the program are accomplished, experienced, and passionate undergraduate students. Our program includes various colleges throughout the country.
OUR MISSION
The pandemic facing our world today has affected so many of us in different ways, including young children and students. We offer 1 on 1 tutoring in a wide variety of subjects for students ranging from grade school to middle and high school, in order to help students stay engaged through their learning. Additionally, we have recently expanded to offer exposure to different career paths through guest lectures from professionals from various fields. We are also trying to develop a strong community in our program through social opportunities.
